The Reviewer

 

Mikey or The Reviewer, currently lives in Austin Texas.  He is a quality assurance engineer for a medical laboratory.  He has lived in Austin for 7 years with his 3 cats and his girlfriend. 

Mikey has been writing movie reviews for 4 years on the internet in some form.  He decided to make it count in 2006 when he launched the-reviewer.net in December 2006.  Mikey has a love for all kinds of movies from huge horrible blockbusters, to 100 dollar low budget independent films.  He watches as many movies as he can from every genre and writes reviews for any movie he has ever seen before.  This can mean even classic films get reviews.  Besides movies which takes up a lot of his time, he tries to do a lot of other things.

Geocaching/Hiking - Mikey and his girlfriend like to travel along the unbeaten paths of Texas and the rest of the world.  Finding hidden gencaches or just walking along a new trail or path that leads to some undiscovered country is a great way for him to get out of the theater and into the real world. 

Video Games - Wii is his current console of choice.  However any game console will do.  Simulations, Sim City, Zelda, Mario games and Guitar Hero keep him waving his wii about his theater for hours at a time. 

Home Theater - You can’t be obsessed about movies, and not have a home theater to back it up.  Mikey is constantly tweaking his home theater, new speakers, color adjustments, using his should level meter, to make sure that all speakers output the same dbs.  Looking for the most comfortable movie chairs known to man and hoping he can afford that next big component.  His next plans are to make a multi-level seating theater. 

Travel - From Disneyland to Disneyworld and everywhere in between, Mikey will look for any excuse to go on a vacation.  He plans to visit every Disney park in the world, but besides Disney he loves to go anywhere.  The Caribbean, The Yucatan, and Alaska are the next places he plans on visiting.  He usually goes and sees a movie everywhere he travels so he can see what other theaters of the world are like.
